Gordon Bohlmann Book appointment

Gordon Bohlmann has 10 years of experience as a physiotherapist. During this time, he has worked in South Africa and Canada in private practice and hospital settings. He has also worked at the Sports Science Institute of South Africa where he gained valuable experience working with National and International Athletes.
Prior to becoming a physiotherapist Gordon spent 4 years training and working in the field of sports science and exercise physiology. During these years, he gained a unique insight into the mechanics of many different sports, and how incorrect mechanics can lead to injury.
Gordon is the current owner and director of Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic and Arbutus Physiotherapy and Wellness.
Gordon is currently a consulting member of the ISTOP (Institute for the Study and Treatment of Pain) education committee, and clinical instructor to the Intramuscular Stimulation education program in Vancouver.
In his spare time, Gordon enjoys spending time outdoors surfing, snowshoeing and playing tennis. Gordon, his son Connor and wife Kerrilyn enjoy bike riding, going to the beach and travelling together.
Sally Stelling Book appointment

Sally has been a part of the Marpole Team since 2006, when she and her family relocated to Vancouver. Sally graduated from the University of Pretoria (South Africa) with a degree in Physiotherapy. She worked with both Orthopaedic and Neurological rehabilitation patients and is qualified as a Bobath Therapist.
In 2002 Sally and her husband moved to Scotland. She worked in Ayrshire for the National Health Service. She completed a certificate in Orthopaedic Medicine (OMI) whilst living in the UK. Since moving to Canada she has trained in Womens' Health and now also treats patients with incontinence and pelvic pain.
Sally has three young children, is expecting her fourth and loves exploring the beautiful outdoors with them. She is also an avid runner and has competed in many marathons and ultra marathons (93 km's is the furthest so far).
Nicole Fournier Book appointment

Nicole completed her Masters of Physiotherapy in 2007 at Curtin University of Technology in Perth, Australia. Prior to that, she completed a Bachelor of Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia. Nicole teaches both private and group Pilates sessions and is currently completing her STOTT Pilates instructor certification.
Originally from Vancouver, Nicole has over 17 years of experience competing and coaching in synchronized swimming. She is a level III NCCP coach and remains active in the sport. While in Australia, Nicole coached and trained tri-athletes and footballers. In addition, she completed her master’s thesis on core stability training to prevent injury in Australian Rules Football athletes.
Other personal interests of Nicole's include competing in Open Water swims, lifeguarding and other adventure races.

Candice graduated from University of British Columbia with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy and a Bachelor Degree in Human Kinetics specializing in Exercise Science. Due to her interest in biomechanics and maximizing performance, Candice worked as the Head Athletic Trainer/Physiotherapist for various elite men's Soccer teams and teaches Yoga at Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic. Prior to becoming a Physiotherapist, Candice worked as a Personal Trainer guiding clients through both exercise rehabilitation and performance enhancement type exercise programs.
Candice's treatment approach is grounded strongly in correcting alignment and posture to allow your body to heal effectively and move optimally. This treatment concept not only helps you recover from your current injury, but helps you prevent injury in the future and just live better! Incorporating her strong skills of Manual Therapy, Exercise Rehabilitation, Postural Education, Yoga and Acupuncture, Candice treats injuries from a holistic perspective. Core Rehabilitation is a special interest of Candice's and with use of Rehabilitation Ultrasound Imaging Assessment she can instruct you through a specialized program to give you a stronger and pain free spine.
To maintain her own well-being Candice keeps a regular yoga practice, enjoys running, skiing and playing in competitive beach and indoor Volleyball tournaments.
Lieon Kit Book appointment

Lioen Kit completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2007 at Duke University in Durnham, North Carolina. Prior to that, Lieon completed his Master's of Education in Kinesiology in 2000 at the University of Texas at Austin. Lieon has completed numerous of post graduate courses including manual therapy courses at Ola Grimsby Institute and orthopdic courses with Dr. George Davies. Lieon's rehabilitation interests include orthopedic and sport injury rehabilitation, return to work/sport programs, vestibular rehabilitation, and home health rehabilitation. Lieon is also fluent in conversational Cantonese in building rapport with the Cantonese speaking people.
Since 2001, Lieon has been involved in rehabilitation services. For 3 years, Lieon has worked as a registered kinesiologist, under the direction of occupational therapists and physiotherapists, in providing clients with home, gym and aquatics exercise programs in a community based setting. In 2003, Lieon coached girl volleyball for Richmond's Air Attack volleyball club as well as coached Nokia Dragonhearts Dragon Boat team. While completing his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, Lieon received valuable orthopedic, arthritis and cardiopulmonary experience at the Duke Center for Living in Durham, North Carolina and Swedish Medical Centre in Seattle, Washington. In addition, Lieon served as programming chairman as a member of the National Association of Asian American Professionals for the 2006 Triangle's Asian American Health Fair held in Raleigh, NC.
Prior to joining Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic, Lieon worked at Apple Physical Therapy in Seattle, Washington as well as for Steveston Village Orthopaedic and Sports Physiotherapy Clinic. Lieon has home health and rehabilitation experience working as a consultant physiotherapist at Community Therapists.
During Lieon's spare time, Lieon enjoys playing competitive grass and indoor volleyball, basketball, softball, golf and football. When not playing sports, you might find Lieon playing poker, travelling, updating his blog or cheering on his beloved Longhorns during college football season!
Carmen MacAngus Book appointment

Carmen joined the Marpole Physiotherapy team in 2011. She graduated from Physical Therapy at the University of Saskatchewan in 2002. During her studies she assisted in a research project evaluating the benefits of land versus aquatic exercise for fall prevention in osteoporosis. Since then, Carmen has completed courses in manual therapy and spinal manipulation, Women’s Health, and has been certified in Gunn IMS and acupuncture (through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute), and courses on the prevention of running injuries.
In her spare time, Carmen enjoys dancing West Coast Swing, and being outdoors hiking or mountain climbing. She loves to travel and has recently spent time in the Middle East.
Margherita Cirillo Book appointment

Margherita completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Minor in Gerontology, and certificate in Health and Fitness at Simon Fraser University in 2008. She continued on to receive her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia in 2010.
Margherita also has specific training in Vestibular Rehabilitation for vertigo, balance and dizziness disorders. She is currently pursuing her Level 2 certification in Orthopaedic and Manual Therapy. She also has previous experience as an athletic trainer for the Western Lacrosse Association and various community sporting events.
Margherita's integrated treatment approach involves correction of dysfunctional movement patterns, manual therapy and activity-specific exercise prescription. Education is also key for promoting self-management strategies and injury prevention as part of an active rehabilitation process all while incorporating the clients' future goals and lifestyle.
Rebecca Weaver Book appointment

Becky graduated from Queens University in 2006 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Since then, she has worked in both the hospital setting and in private practice, treating people with a variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, and respiratory conditions. Since 2007, Becky has been specializing in pelvic floor rehabilitation, treating men and women with incontinence and pelvic pain. She also has a special interest in pain management. According to Becky, the best of part of being a physiotherapist is empowering her clients to move, work, and play to the best of their abilities.
Becky is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and serves as the Public Relations Chair for the Women's Health Division and as a member at large in the Pain Sciences Division. She is also a member of the Vancouver Women's Health Interest Group.
When Becky is not busy at work, you might find her running, skiing, or kite surfing on the beautiful West Coast.
Cameron Hunt Book appointment

Cameron is a Registered Kinesiologist and has completed a bachelor of Human Kinetics the University of British Columbia as well as a Sport Science Diploma from Langara College. Since 2006 he has been the exercise physiologist and Athletic Director at The Bentall Centre Athletic Club in Vancouver where he operates the Witness Your Fitness wellness clinic. During this time, Cameron has worked with a full spectrum of athletes from beginner to elite and gained experience into creating personalized, effective and engaging training programs.
Cameron is a qualified Matheson and BTE functional capacity evaluator and offers F.C.E. consulting through Marpole Physiotherapy for medical legal purposes. His specialties also include fitness evaluation, outdoor recreation leadership, and educating others through his health and lifestyle blog at www.wellness-vancouver.blogspot.com.
Cameron believes in always continuing his education by expanding his knowledge base to help others, as well as volunteering his time to large recreation and sporting events. His altruistic goal is to bring wellness to the lives of people through endorsing regular physical activity and is dedicated to helping you achieve your best. He is excited to be working with Gordon and the team of health professionals at Marpole physiotherapy.
On a personal note, Cameron considers himself an outdoor junkie and known by some as the curator of interesting hats. Movement appeals to him and fun always follows him. Cameron likes playing guitar, rock climbing, mountain biking, and skiing with his wife Johanna.
Ranah Gitsels Book appointment

Ranah joined the Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic in 2009, when she moved to Vancouver from the Netherlands. Ranah graduated from Hogeschool INholland (Amsterdam) in Marketing Management. She has worked in Sports Marketing (Speed Skating) and at entertainment companies, as a Marketing and Events Manager. Working at Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic, she is determined to have the service exceed the clients' expectations. She finds great challenge in organizing and enjoys the personal contact with the clients. To Ranah, each client is unique and she focuses on creating a comfortable, friendly and motivational experience for each and everyone. Ranah likes sports, social activities and loves the positive and inspiring vibe of Vancouver. Her favourite hobby is mountain biking and she tries to work out daily. She spends most of her free time with her friends doing activities such as hiking, biking, camping, skiing, attending dinners and concerts.

Office Manager
After 15 years of working directly with people in a diverse and professional setting with responsibilities in administration and customer service, Candee has advanced her gained experience to Marpole Physiotherapy Clinic. She joined the team in October 2004 and embraced the role of office manager in May of 2005.
Candee will ensure that your visit at the clinic will be a cheerful and pleasant one. She is also dedicated to assist patients with the appropriate information that they may need with extended insurance providers, in addition to ICBC, WCB, DVA and RCMP claims.
Outside of the clinic, she is a devoted mother who loves spending quality time with her family.
